Description

Story

The video-game Mafia takes place in the United States in the fictional city of Lost Heaven in the 1930s. The city’s underbelly is run and controlled by two large mob families: the Salieris and the Morello Family. You take on the role of Tommy, a former taxi driver and member of the Salieris Mafia. Tommy wants to get out of the Mafia business and therefore meets with a police detective to testify as a key witness, we all know the only way to leave the ‘family’ is via death … The events in the video-game Mafia are presented as flashbacks during the conversation between the two men.

Gameplay

At the beginning of the video-game Mafia, you start out as the newest member of the family. By completing missions, you slowly but surely climb ranks in the Salieri Family. Missions are filled with action-packed firefights. The video-game Mafia comes loaded with a variety of authentic 1930’s weapons like shotguns and the infamous Tommy-Gun. The video-game Mafia features an Open-World Map, which can be explored freely. The fastest way to explore the city of Lost Heaven is with the help of over 60 different vehicles. At the beginning of each mission, you are provided with a vehicle but you can swap it out any time, buy a new one, steal one, it is up to you!

Trivia

The 2002 released video-game Mafia is a third-person-action-game developed by the Czech video-game developer Illusion Softworks. The game was released on August 28, 2002, by Publisher 2K for Windows PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It was a commercial success and therefore it is no surprise that two sequels followed, Mafia 2 in 2010 and Mafia III in 2016.
