Grand Theft Auto 3 – Crime pays off!

What may not be applicable in real life seems to be the golden rule in Grand Theft Auto 3: Crime pays off! Enjoying the action-adventure Grand Theft Auto 3, the player enters the seedy underworld of Liberty City. The spectacular 3D graphics and the completely free-roaming game world turn out to be a quantum leap, especially if you compare it to the previous game Grand Theft Auto 2!

Only the good things were transported to the new edition and were also improved quite a bit. The game play of Grand Theft Auto 3 simply is criminal: You are about to steal cars, to deal with illegal transactions, to get chased by the police and to perform a myriad of illegal jobs. During nearly 80 missions the player is encouraged to work his way up to the top – from a petty criminal up to an upper-class gangster boss. Nevertheless, Grand Theft Auto 3 does not go without a certain black humor... Clear: The tasks that you have to deal with do not only include jobs as money courier or bank robber. It becomes quite more dangerous at times—for example when you have to prevent the undertakings of competing gangs and to punish renegade traitors. Nevertheless, Grand Theft Auto 3 stays satirical and ironic. At the very beginning of the game your protagonist gets betrayed by his girlfriend—well, now probably ex-girlfriend. Not that she is cheating on your protagonist. No! But during a mutual bank robbery she intentionally lets you fall into the hands of the police. But after all, this event turns out to become a turning point concerning your career as a kick-ass gangster. Together with the crook 8-Ball you can escape the clutches of the police. Your new buddy is impressed with your driving skills. That is why he is going to provide you with plenty of jobs in the future. This comes in handy, since you somehow have to finance your new hiding place in the red light district of Liberty City.

But things become much better soon. The baseball bat won't be necessary anymore as you start using more powerful weapons. From now on you have to fight carefully. Each time you draw the short straw, you will wake up either at the prison or outside the hospital—of course with less money and without any weapons! But your weapons are indispensable to successfully accomplish all the various missions ofGrand Theft Auto 3. Same applies to a suitable getaway car. At least you can steal any car, but some drivers—such as taxi drivers—offer resistance. It becomes especially dangerous to steal cars of competing gangs. But what the heck: The racers of the gangsters are simply the best! The Mafiosi will quickly open the fire—but you are no wimp, are you? Apart from that, all of the cars behave completely different on the streets. It does not matter if you drive fast racing cars, tanks or extremely heavy ammunition transporters—each vessel is unique. Therefore you should reconsider the most appropriate vehicle for each mission. But much more important than the right cars are the right weapons of Grand Theft Auto 3. You receive your first gun by the arms dealer at the very beginning of your career. In order to get a machine gun, you have to mess with the Colombian drug dealers. If you want to benefit from a rocket launcher, you need to save the store of the arms lover Phil. And this is no picnic! The powerful sniper rifle, which is indispensable for a number of jobs, can only be bought in certain stores. But you will earn the money somehow: Cause you have your methods! Afterward you can finally take up the fight against the Uzi-carrying Yakuzas. The Uzi is very useful, since you can shoot with it out of a moving car! Using all the great weapons, you can do all the exciting jobs—which become increasingly more demanding and more dangerous. Very soon you will mess with competing gangster bosses. You receive car bombs and other explosive toys from 8-Ball in his junkyard on the outskirts of the city. As already said: Only crime pays off in Grand Theft Auto 3!

By using our MegaTrainer, you can also reset the police stars down to zero and arbitrarily freeze the timer. Speaking of that: If you should fall in the water during a mission, you can use another cheat which puts any car back on the street! Obviously: Concerning this game, crimes really pay off—and so does our Grand Theft Auto 3 Trainer!
