The video-game Far Cry New Dawn takes place in Hope County after the events of Far Cry 5, where Earth was completely devastated by nuclear conflict. The survivors of this disaster hid underground to escape nuclear radiation for the next 17 years. Now in the video-game Far Cry New Dawn they have returned to the now changed earth surface, in order to build a new society from the ruins of the old world. Since there are no more laws anarchy prevails among the people. This led to the formation of different factions, each with its own rules, one more ruthless than the other. Yet they all have the same goal: to win as many resources as possible, even if that means eliminating the other factions. One of the most dangerous groups are the Highwaymen, led by the twins Mickey and Lou, who are unstoppable and terrorize the people of New County. In the video-game Far Cry New Dawn you play the "Captain", who himself is also part of a group that helps people in need and now has arrived in New County.
