This brilliant action horror first-person shooter, Aliens - Colonial Marines, echoes the creeping horror and the breathtaking atmosphere of its cinematic counterpart, the Alien trilogy, quite accurately! The events of the last blockbuster are continued: Thus you lead a rescue team of the so-called Colonial Marines to search for your missing companions on a gigantic spaceship...
A bloodthirsty, ruthless and deadly fight for survival starts out immediately. If you want to give the vile aliens the shivers, you can use different weapons: flamethrowers, pulse rifles, smart guns, big guns, RPGs and various grenades.
The action-game Aliens - Colonial Marines is set about 17 weeks after the events of Alien 3 and almost 200 years prior to the events of Alien: Resurrection. In Colonial Marines you step into the role of Corporal Christopher Winter, a marine who is part of a search and rescue mission. You are searching for missing marines on board the U.S.S. Sulaco, among them are Ellen Ripley and Corporal Dwayne Hicks made famous in the Alien movies. The U.S.S Sulaco isn’t the only authentic environment that the game takes place in. Additional locations include the lost and destroyed colony of Hadley’s Hope, LV-426, and the famous alien spacecraft from the movies. The video game Aliens - Colonial Marines from 2013 will immerse you in its eerie, catastrophic and frightful world where death lurks around every corner.

When it comes to gameplay, the 2013 released action game Aliens - Colonial Marines delivers a fast-paced classic first person shooter experience, as one is used to from the folks at Gearbox. You have the option of tackling the campaign alone, but when you feel overwhelmed and the Xenos are getting too though, you have the option to call in up to four friends to play all campaign missions in Coop. Your friends can drop in and out whenever they choose, providing you with much needed extra firepower. As you progress in Aliens - Colonial Marines, you earn experience to unlock new weapons, looks and perks for you and your squad.
But caution: There exist different alien species, performing various techniques to attack, in order to make your and your teams' life a living hell ...
The 'Facehugger' for example tries to jump on the faces of your comrades to plant them a deadly offshoot. The 'Warriors' are the most common type and well known from the movies. The 'Runners' are incredibly fast and mostly attack in groups. But you should respect the 'Crushers' the most. This species has an effective armor and is difficult to wrestle down ... but what the heck? Nothing can stop you playing Aliens - Colonial Marines, since you command the toughest battle group of the galaxy!
