What is MegaDev?

MegaDev is a German software developer who has created a 100% legal trainer software (according to the law of the European Union), which allows you to use "cheats" in singleplayer PC-games to adjust the difficulty of the game to your liking.

Do I need to register to use MegaDev's Services?

No. However only registered members get to enjoy our premium perks like personal customer-support, game-requests, changing your personal avatar and a lot more! You do have to register if you want to purchase a premium membership.

What is a MegaDev Premium Membership?

A MegaDev premium membership is a paid upgrade to the basic free membership. We offer three different memberships with different runtimes. You can upgrade to a higher tier-membership anytime you like.

When do I need a MegaDev Premium Membership?

As a guest or registered basic member, you only have access to a limited selection of cheats. If you want to use premium cheats you need an active premium membership!

Why do I have to pay for a membership when other sites offer cheats for free?

Unlike other websites, we don't just distribute public cheat-lists. We actually analyze and program cheats ourselves, for every game available in our MegaTrainer. 5 to 7 days a week! Our team consists of multiple developers who program content for our community. Every single cheat, game, and patch gets tested to make sure it is working correctly. On top of all the work we put into MegaDev for the perfect gaming experience we have server costs, employee salaries as well as a variety of other business expenses.


What are the minimum system requirements for the MegaTrainer?

To install our MegaTrainer you need Microsoft Windows 7 or higher. If your games run perfectly on your current setup, our MegaTrainer will as well!

Is there a Mac version of the MegaTrainer?

No. Due to a variety of technical as well as legal reasons we currently do not offer a Mac version of our software.

My cheats are not working properly - what can I do?

Please check if you’ve chosen the correct game version on the game page in our MegaTrainer. For most games, the version number can either be found in the main menu or within the .exe of the game (right click - Properties - Details). If the game's version matches the one in our MegaTrainer, make sure to carefully read the cheat descriptions we provide for every single cheat and - if provided - the "Important cheat info" displayed in the red checkbox above the cheats in our MegaTrainer. If your cheats still do not work as intended you can send us a support-ticket! (Go to our website, log in and choose "support" from the dropdown menu under your profile name).

I'm having issues with the MegaTrainer. What can I do?

Your trainer not working properly can have a variety of reasons. Here we have listed the most common questions and solutions:

Admin rights:
The trainer should always be run with admin rights. To do this, right-click on the MegaTrainerClient.exe and select "Run as administrator".

Game version and platform:
Please check if you’ve chosen the correct game version on the game page in our MegaTrainer. For most games, the version number can either be found in the main menu or within the .exe of the game (right click - Properties - Details).

Games more often than not, get published on different platforms.
The most common PC platforms are: Steam, GOG, Origin, U-Play and Retail versions.
Please check if you have selected the right platform in our MegaTrainer.

We only create trainers for legit copies of games, i. e. so-called scene releases and other illegal versions are not supported by us and we do not provide any form of support for them, e. g. in our forum.

Reboot and missing/corrupted files:
A fresh and clean installation of our MegaTrainer often helps.
Important for Windows 10 users:
Please delete the entire MTU folder under Program Data - if it still exists after uninstalling.

Is your operating system up to date? Are Windows updates being downloaded in the background?

Is your .NET Framework up to date and have you checked it for errors?

After starting our trainer, is MegaTrainerClient.exe visible in your task manager?

If possible check your game files for missing or corrupted files!

In most cases, it is not necessary to change the DEP status. For a few games, however, it is necessary for the DEP to be active, otherwise, the trainer will not work. For those games, the trainer will show you a hint to change the DEP status. In addition, some games require DEP to be active or inactive. If you change the DEP status, you have to restart your computer for the changes to take effect!

I want to submit a game-version. How do I do that?

Either go to the forum section of the respective game site (at the bottom) or directly to our forum and search for the game. After being logged in you can post your request directly within the corresponding threads.

I want to request a new cheat for a specific game - How and where do I submit my request?

Follow the same steps as you would for submitting a new game-version! (check the previous question and answer).

I want cheats for multiplayer - do you offer them as well?

No! We do not support cheats and cheaters in multiplayer games due to ethical reasons. Secondly, the legality of multiplayer cheats is controversial enough as it is. Please note that in accordance with our general terms and conditions we reserve the right to ban accounts, which have verifiably tried to use our cheats in any multiplayer environment.

Can I use the MegaTrainer on more than one computer?

Yes. Every user can use the MegaTrainer on up to three PCs. However, it can only be used by one at a time. You can delete older or unused hardware profiles within the profile page on our website.


I need support - can I write you an email?

No. Due to the number of users, we are simply not able to answer individual e-mails. Please read the FAQ carefully. If you cannot find an answer to your question, please open a support-ticket as explained in the steps above!

How do I get support at MegaDev?

If you have a problem with our website, payment or our MegaTrainer, you can send us a ticket by clicking on the "support" tab in your profile or directly within the MegaTrainer. Our support team will try to get back to you as fast as they can.

I submitted a ticket, but did not get an answer, yet - what can I do?

It might sometimes happen, that a ticket is not being processed immediately. This can happen due to a variety of reasons, the most common ones being weekends and holidays! Sometimes we receive a lot more tickets than anticipated, in that case, tickets will be prioritized and processed accordingly. Our answer: Just wait a bit longer, our customer care department is aware of all open tickets and will definitely get back to you!
